The AI-powered Smart Dispatch Decision System jointly developed by HKU Smart Mobility Lab and SynCab received broad media coverage in 2025. The system integrates real-time traffic, passenger demand, taxi locations, weather, and electric taxi battery information to improve dispatching decisions for taxi fleet operations.
